Throughout the process of building Ol Blu, my C10 (check it out here), I tried utilize my almost 10 years of 3D modeling & printing 3D printing as much as I could. I did this for a few reasons... it fed my obsession with 3D printing, there are things that would have been much more difficult in any other media and I wanted to know how it will last in harsh environments, especially under the hood.

These covers were printed using carbon fiber-infused nylon which can tolerate temperatures up to 200°C (400°F). Other materials are available to allow temps above 260°C (>500°F).
This is the cover for the engine ECU and related relays.

Here is one of the prototypes I made for the air box in Ol Blu.

Here it is finished.

Battery cover that matches the air box...

The bezel for the air suspension controller, sanded and painted to match.

I am currently working on new armrests (August 2026). This is the beta prototype.
The top will be upholstered to match the door panels, the aluminum trim will be polished and the bottom will be sanded & painted silver.

Here is a picture of the lower parts being printed.
